BELGIUM WAFFLES

INGREDIENTS

* 1 cup softened butter

* 1 3/4 cups sugar

* 6 eggs

* 1/2 cup milk

* 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

* 1 teaspoon vanilla

STEP 1

Separate the egg yolks and reserve the egg whites in the refrigerator.

STEP 2

Beat together the sugar, egg yolks and softened butter, then add the vanilla.

STEP 3

Add the flour and milk alternately to the egg yolk mixture. Finish with the flour for a better texture.

STEP 4

Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and add them to the mixture a little at a time, gently folding them into the batter.

STEP 5

Cook immediately in the waffle iron according to taste.
